Job summary

Shamrock Roofing & Construction is seeking a Content Creator to film on active job sites and edit videos for social media. You’ll split time between our Overland Park office and on-site shoots, building a weekly content calendar and producing engaging reels for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.

Requirements include a portfolio or reel, strong video editing skills across Premiere, CapCut, DaVinci, and Final Cut, plus comfort with trades and homeowners.

Content Creator — Video & Social

Shamrock Roofing and Construction

• Overland Park, KS
• Part-time, 25-30 hours per week
• In-office and on-site
• $20-25 per hour

We have 50 years of stories and nobody filming them.

Shamrock has been roofing Kansas City since 1977. Every day our crews are on roofs, in storms, and in neighborhoods doing work worth watching, and almost none of it gets captured. We are hiring someone to fix that.

This is a real creative job, not a posting job, and you will not spend it at a desk. You will be out on active build sites with our crews, then back in the office to edit and publish. Roofs coming off, storm damage, finished homes, people who are glad you showed up. More raw material than you can use, and you will leave here with a reel full of work that actually ran.

What You'll Do

• Get out to build sites and shoot: crews working, tear-offs, storm damage, finished roofs, customer reactions
• Edit what you shoot into finished short-form video for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn
• Build the weekly content calendar and keep it full
• Capture photo and video libraries we can reuse across ads and the website

The details

• Location: Our Overland Park office and on-site at active job sites around the metro. Reliable transportation needed
• Schedule: 25 to 30 hours per week, flexible around your schedule
• Pay: $20 to $25 per hour, depending on what you can do
• Benefits: Paid holidays

Requirements

What We Need To See

• A portfolio or reel. This one is required. Show us video you shot and edited yourself
• Real editing ability. Premiere, CapCut, DaVinci, Final Cut, whatever you use, as long as you are fast in it
• You can show up at a job site with a phone or a camera and come back with something good, without a creative brief
• Comfortable around trades, crews and homeowners
• Reliable with deadlines, because the calendar does not wait

Helpful, But Not Required

• Drone experience or a Part 107 certificate
• Graphic design for social
• Film, media or communications student or recent grad. This role is built to fit around a class schedule
