AKN Interiors in Bethel Park, PA, seeks a Social Media Content Manager for an in-person role with regular travel to project sites throughout Greater Pittsburgh. You will film on-site, edit short-form videos, and craft compelling stories across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.

Qualifications

Turn Great Remodeling Projects Into Content People Want to Watch

AKN Interiors is a fast-growing design-build remodeling company specializing in custom kitchens, bathrooms, basements, whole-home renovations, additions, and distinctive interior spaces.

We are looking for a creative, social-media-savvy Social Media Content Manager to capture what happens behind the scenes and turn it into engaging content.

This is not a remote social media position.

You will regularly visit active remodeling projects, our office, and our showroom to film original content. You will then edit that footage into Reels, TikToks, Shorts, advertisements, project stories, before-and-afters, and other social content.

We want someone who understands what works on social media right now -- strong hooks, short-form video, fast editing, authentic storytelling, creator-style content, current trends, and ads that don't necessarily feel like traditional ads.

You don't need decades of marketing experience. We care more about your creativity, social-media instincts, portfolio, and ability to turn real projects into content people actually want to watch.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit AKN Interiors job sites throughout Greater Pittsburgh to capture original video and photography.
• Film demolition, construction progress, installations, design details, team members, and completed spaces.
• Create and edit short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Develop strong hooks, captions, concepts, calls to action, and visual stories.
• Create before-and-after transformations, project walkthroughs, design tips, educational videos, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Interview and film designers, Project Managers, carpenters, company leadership, and other team members.
• Turn everyday construction activity into interesting content for homeowners.
• Create social media advertisements from original footage.
• Test different hooks, edits, messages, and creative styles.
• Stay current on social trends, editing styles, platform changes, sounds, formats, and advertising strategies.
• Maintain an organized library of project footage, photos, testimonials, and creative assets.
• Manage a consistent social media content calendar.
• Post and schedule approved content across company accounts.
• Track performance and use results to improve future content.
• Coordinate filming around project schedules and milestones.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and short-form video.
• Demonstrated ability to film and edit engaging content.
• Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, framing, and visual presentation.
• Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.
• Comfortable filming with smartphones, cameras, microphones, and basic lighting equipment.
• Understands hooks, retention, captions, calls to action, and what makes people stop scrolling.
• Actively follows current social media and digital advertising trends.
• Comfortable directing and filming people who may not be experienced on camera.
• Creative, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
• Comfortable visiting active residential construction sites.
• Experience with Meta advertising, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, or paid social is an asset.
• Experience with home improvement, design, architecture, real estate, or lifestyle content is an asset but not required.
• A college degree is welcome but not required if your portfolio demonstrates strong ability.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Portfolio Required

Applicants should provide examples of content they have personally created.

This can include Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube content, paid ads, business accounts, personal accounts, freelance projects, photography, or other examples of your work.

A strong portfolio and excellent social-media instincts matter more to us than years of traditional marketing experience.

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 employment.
• Salary: $50,000 - 60,000 per year, based on experience and portfolio.
