Patrick A. Finn, Ltd. is seeking a Social Media Content Creator in Palatine, IL. This part-time role involves visiting active job sites 1–2 days per week to photograph and video remodel projects, then turning the footage into engaging social posts and short-form videos for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

You’ll craft captions, organize media, and coordinate with the team to feature upcoming projects. Prior experience in construction or design content is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience creating social media content for a business.
• Strong photography and smartphone video skills.
• Experience creating short-form videos (Reels/shorts).
• Familiar with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Able to visit active residential construction sites.

Palatine, IL | Part-Time | Approximately 1-2 Days/Week

Patrick A. Finn is looking for a creative, reliable Social Media Content Creator to help showcase our residential remodeling and construction projects across social media.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys photography, video, social media, and seeing projects come together. You'll spend part of your time visiting active job sites throughout the Northwest Chicago suburbs, capturing the progress and details that make each project unique, then turning that content into engaging social media posts and short-form videos.

What You'll Do

• Visit active construction and remodeling projects 1-2 days per week to capture photos and video.
• Create content featuring project progress, craftsmanship, design details, before-and-after transformations, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Create short-form videos and Reels for social media.
• Post and maintain content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Write engaging captions that tell the story behind our projects.
• Organize photos and videos for current and future social media use.
• Work with our team to identify upcoming projects and milestones that would make great content.
• Represent Patrick A. Finn professionally when visiting job sites.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience creating social media content for a business, brand, construction company, remodeling company, design firm, or similar organization.
• Strong photography and smartphone video skills.
• Comfortable creating Reels and other short-form video content.
• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
• A good eye for visual detail, composition, and storytelling.
• Strong writing skills for social media captions.
• Organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Comfortable visiting active residential construction sites.
• Reliable transportation to travel to project sites throughout the Northwest Chicago suburbs.

Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus.

Experience or interest in residential construction, remodeling, architecture, interior design, or home improvement is also a plus.

Schedule

This is a part-time position requiring approximately 1-2 days per week, with scheduling flexibility based on active project needs.
