Content Claims Specialist - Field - Level I (Finance)
Content Claims Specialists are responsible for the physical inventory and valuation of contents damaged in residential and commercial property claims due to covered perils.
This is a remote position requiring field visits within the state as needed. Candidates must reside in the Madison, WI area.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Secondary (High School) Diploma.
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum 6 months relevant work experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including handling challenging situations and people.
- Valid driver's license and successful background check.
Work Environment & Requirements:
- This is a remote/work-from-home position. Employee must provide:
- An adequate, noise-free workspace.
- High-speed internet service.
- A reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license.
Company equipment, including a laptop, will be provided. Employees are responsible for maintaining the equipment per company policy. Overnight travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with adjusters, policyholders, and industry vendors to explain roles and contributions in the claims process.
- Complete physical inventories of contents impacted by covered losses, identifying claim types and applying appropriate methodologies based on circumstances. Be prepared for exposure to diverse conditions (cold, heat, rain, debris, etc.).
- Ensure timely, quality claims processing in line with company productivity standards and client SLAs.
- Coordinate with the Field Support Department to organize resources for data entry and LKQ assessment of damaged or destroyed contents.
- Manage claim workload independently to promote timely closures.
- Maintain clear communication with all parties, providing timely and informative updates.
- Accurately complete and submit work logs daily for all claims processed.
- Document claim notes in the company's claims system, including hours over standards and pertinent issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate pricing of all outstanding items following LKQ standards.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education.
- Promote edjuster's brand, image, and reputation professionally.
- Uphold the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times.
- Participate in special projects, CAT responses, or other duties as assigned.
