  • Maintain and update the Book Selection Committee Dashboard and other committee resources.

  • Review external blogs, websites, catalogs, and other sources for books that may warrant committee consideration.

  • Manage the general inbox for PJ Library Book Selection Committee submissions.

  • Provide ongoing administrative support to the Chair of the Book Selection Committee.

Coordinate the Book Selection Process

Support the manuscript and book review and selection processes while maintaining accurate records and clear communication with internal and external partners.

  • Update relevant documents, databases, and book-selection records throughout the review process.

  • Maintain the archive collection of PJ Library edition books.

  • Coordinate the mailing of PJ Library editions to authors and illustrators.

  • Assign, collect, and proofread monthly book blurbs.

  • Oversee PJ Library’s Grinspoon Jewish Story Awards process by coordinating the award notifications and liaising with HGF’s accounting department to ensure timely payment.

  • Serve as a point of coordination for authors, illustrators, publishers, committee members, and Books Team colleagues as needed.

Help ensure PJ Library’s book-related digital content and internal resources are accurate, current, and accessible.

  • Provide the web team with monthly book synopses, Book Selection Committee blog posts, and other book information.

  • Conduct quality-control reviews of book-related website content and communicate needed changes to the web team.

  • Maintain PJ Library’s E-Library and the Book Selection Committee’s "under consideration" PDF library.

Maintain Book Data and Operational Systems

Support accurate, consistent book information across Books Team systems and databases.

  • Maintain accurate PJ Library book, mailing, author, illustrator, publisher, and award records in Salesforce.

  • Record Book Selection Committee notes and other book-related information.

  • Coordinate with Books Team colleagues to ensure shared records are accurately and consistently maintained.

  • Contribute to regular CRM data entry, data cleanup, and quality-control efforts.

  • Build and run reports as needed.
