Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Processing Technician to ensure safe handling of containerized wastes. You will receive, unload, treat and track waste streams while maintaining accurate records with handheld scanners.

Responsibilities include directing off-loading, sampling, and inventory management, using light equipment, and maintaining precise storage and labeling of containers. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a busy facility.

Qualifications

• Ability to use light equipment such as forklift and pallet-jack.
• Basic knowledge of computer operations to operate handheld scanners.
• Skilled using hand and shop tools.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receives, signs, and processes incoming manifests and notes discrepancies.
• Directs off-loading for receipt of containerized wastes into storage systems.
• Uses handheld scanner to log and track waste streams and residues.
• Conducts waste sampling and consolidates like-wastes to improve costs.
• Stores containers properly in designated areas and labels as needed.
