Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Processing Technician to ensure the safe, effective treatment and handling of containerized wastes. You will receive, screen, unload, treat and track incoming waste streams and outgoing residuals in a fast-paced facility.

The role emphasizes accurate barcoding, inventory control, and adherence to safety procedures while using forklifts to move containers and samples for testing and processing.

Qualifications

• Ability to use light equipment like forklift and pallet-jack.
• Basic computer operations knowledge for handheld scanners.
• Skilled with hand and shop tools.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, signs, and processes incoming manifests.
• Directs off-loading for receipt of non bulk containers.
• Uses barcode scanner for inventory and tracking.
• Operates forklift to handle non-bulk wastes.
• Collects and analyzes waste samples.
• Consolidates like-wastes to improve economics.
• Stores waste containers in designated areas.
• Generates internal barcode labels and applies them.
