Job summary

WM is seeking a Plant Associate to unload waste, decontaminate vehicles, and stage waste for scanning in Biotrack. The role focuses on safe, efficient handling and proper recordkeeping of waste materials.

Responsibilities include operating tub wash lines and autoclave processes, while maintaining strict safety and housekeeping standards. A valid driver’s license is preferred and health & safety directives must be followed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience, preferably in plant environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand and follow health and safety directives and performance and conduct standards, policies and procedures that apply to the role and location.

Responsibilities

• Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable waste to be incinerated.
• Stage waste on conveyor system or stack waste for scanning in Biotrack.
• Scan waste into Biotrack for proper recordkeeping purposes.
• Load autoclave bins or incinerator hopper with waste for processing.
• Place reusable containers on tub wash line for decontamination.
• Operate tub wash unit and inspect tubs for reuse.
• Operate tub wash sprayer for oversized tubs and inspect for reuse.
• Decontaminate vehicle cargo area and ensure no free liquid remains; inform supervisor when ready.
• Ensure housekeeping issues are addressed immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
