Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, weld and paint containers and roll-off boxes. The role requires MIG/ARC welding, plasma cutting, fabrication with brakes and shears, and safe operation of tools.

You’ll install lids, wheels and decals while maintaining strong documentation and safety compliance. Minimum 1 year welding experience or completion of a welding program is required.

Qualifications

• Certified welder with official credential.
• Experience or training in MIG/ARC welding, plasma cutting, and paint spraying.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains front, rear and roll-off containers.
• Welds steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricates steel components using a brake and shear.
• Cuts steel with plasma cutter or torch; fabricates parts for hoppers, containers and compactors.
• Installs lids and wheels on containers; paints repaired units.
• Follows safety policies; completes required paperwork; references complex repairs to supervisor.
