Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, weld, fabricate and paint containers and roll-off boxes. You will weld steel and aluminum using MIG/ARC, fabricate components, cut with plasma torch, install lids and wheels, and perform routine maintenance.

The role requires a certified welder with knowledge of MIG, stick welding, plasma cutter, and hand tools. Minimum 1 year welding experience or completion of a welding program.

Qualifications

• Certified welder.
• Advanced knowledge of mig & stick welders, plasma cutter, and airless paint sprayers. Familiar with basic use of hand tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains front, rear and roll-off containers.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricates steel components using brake and shear; cuts steel with plasma cutter or torch.
• Installs lids and wheels; paints repaired containers; completes required paperwork.
• Refer more complex repairs to the Supervisor; follow safety policies.
