Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Container Welder/Fabricator to repair, paint, and maintain containers and roll-off boxes. You will weld steel and aluminum, fabricate components, cut steel with plasma, install lids and wheels, and ensure safety standards are followed.

Minimum 1 year welding experience or completion of a welding program, with strong communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. Company benefits and a comprehensive bonus plan are offered.

Qualifications

• Certified welder required.
• Advanced MIG/Stick welding, plasma cutter and airless sprayers knowledge.
• Familiar with basic hand tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance on front, rear and roll-off containers.
• Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components using brake and shear.
• Cut steel with plasma cutter or torch.
• Fabricate steel components for hoppers, containers and compactors.
• Install lids and wheels on containers; paint repaired containers.
• Follow safety policies and complete required paperwork.
• Install company and safety decals on containers and roll-off boxes.
• Refer more complex repairs to the Supervisor.
