Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH in Los Angeles seeks an undergraduate or non‑MBA master’s degree holder to join our Consumer & Retail Group as a Management Consulting Associate. You will contribute to growth strategy, large-scale transformations, and post‑merger integration on real client projects.

You will collaborate with experienced CRG consultants, develop quantitative and qualitative skills, and have opportunities for mentorship and rapid career progression in a fast-paced, results-driven

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or non‑MBA master’s degree from a top university.
• Internship or relevant experience in consumer/retail, consulting, or corporate roles with financial/operational focus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Analytical and data-fluent, able to distill complex insights into clear actions.
• Creative problem-solver with a talent for building tools and streamlining processes.
• Commercially minded, with experience in proposal development.
• Polished communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel up to 70% (Monday–Friday).

Responsibilities

• Support growth strategy and large-scale transformation projects for CRG.
• Assist with M&A, carve-out and post-merger integration efforts.
• Contribute to operations, merchandising and channel optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with CRG consultants and clients to deliver practical solutions.
• Participate in onboarding and mentorship programs to develop quantitative and qualitative skills.
