Job summary

Total Community Credit Union is seeking a Consumer & Mortgage Loan Processor to ensure loans move smoothly from application to funding, while delivering an exceptional member experience.

You will process consumer, mortgage, and indirect loans, gather documentation, and coordinate with lenders and third parties to close loans efficiently. This role is in-person and supports a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of loan processing or related financial services experience.
• 2 years of customer service experience.
• Knowledge of consumer and mortgage loan documentation and lending procedures.
• Strong communication and member service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple loans and deadlines with accuracy.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Experience with loan origination systems and mortgage platforms is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Credit union or banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process consumer, mortgage, and indirect loans from application to funding.
• Assist members with loan applications and gather documentation.
• Review and maintain loan, title, lien, and mortgage files.
• Prepare loan packages and coordinate with officers, underwriters, title companies, dealers, vendors, and other third parties.
• Process loan closings and disburse funds; complete post-closing activities.
• Handle payoffs, lien releases, and servicing transactions.
• Support additional lending functions such as Skip-A-Pays and membership openings.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Member Service, Contact Center, and Collections.
• Back up the Lending department as needed.
