• Knowledge of consumer loan policy, credit criteria, and current interest rates.

Responsibilities

• Review and process loan applications received through direct and indirect lending channels.
• Evaluate credit applicants for potential approval.
• Approve/deny loans within authority; recommend actions outside authority.
• Collect and verify information needed for loan decisions and closing.
• Communicate loan status with originators and processors.
• Assist in training and supporting other underwriters.
• Maintain delinquency and charge-off metrics per policy.
• Support dealer relationships and conduct dealer visits as needed.
