Job summary

Landmark Credit Union in Brookfield, WI is seeking a detail‑oriented Consumer Loan Specialist to gather, prepare, and process documents for loan applications across branch, call center, and online channels. You will verify accuracy against underwriting guidelines and ensure all documents for closing are received and complete.

You will liaise with members to collect pay stubs, W‑2s, and contracts; explain credit bureau items; and support a fast, compliant closing process while maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of consumer lending experience.
• Knowledge of consumer loans and basic underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to explain credit bureau reports and liaise with members on stipulations.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and lending systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem solving, and organization.
• Ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment.
• Must have or be able to obtain NMLS registration.
• Commitment to understanding and following company policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities
