Job summary

Family Trust Federal Credit Union seeks a Consumer Loan Funder to analyze, fund, and book consumer loans. You will prepare loan documents for digital banking, phone, and branches, and maintain proper documentation on all loan files in accordance with policy.

Responsibilities include managing loan fund queues, obtaining signatures, ensuring compliance, and timely funding. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for member interactions and cross-department coordination.

Qualifications

• Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
• High School education or GED; internal lending class or Consumer Lending School preferred.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage all relevant Consumer Loan Funder queues to keep applications worked and loans posted with minimal wait time to members.
• Interact positively with members to finalize loan documents and book loan.
• Review loan documentation and obtain signatures as required.
• Prepare all loan documentation for closing and verify underwriting stipulations have been met.
• Meet established loan funding time requirements.
• Disburse loan proceeds and pay off applicable creditors.
• Ensure loan documentation accuracy and compliance with laws, regulations, and credit union policies.
• Maintain knowledge of credit union consumer lending policies and procedures.
• Generate and disburse adverse action forms, as applicable.
• Maintain audit error percentage at or below established standard.
• Communicate with loan originators, loan analysts, and other departments to ensure timely processing.
• Provide excellent member service through daily transactions and inquiries.
• Enter loan maintenance after funding when required.
• Answer phone calls and video chat requests from members promptly.
• Know our ancillary products and services and review applications for missed opportunities.
• Maintain open communication with teammates for sharing details.
• Back up Consumer Loan Originator as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
