Job summary

SECU Credit Union Ltd. is seeking a Consumer Lending Underwriter to evaluate loan applications, ensure compliance with guidelines and regulatory requirements, and render sound credit decisions.

The Underwriter will have authority to approve or deny consumer loans and may recommend decisions to partner credit unions on exceptions. Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years of underwriting experience in consumer finance, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience underwriting or in a consumer financial position.
• Demonstrates accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite applications for direct and indirect consumer loans.
• Respond to calls and emails while meeting SLAs.
• Maintain quality controls and timely decisions.
