Job summary

Scenic Community Credit Union in Ooltewah is seeking a Consumer Lending Assistant to support branch operations and member service. You will conduct loan interviews, input applications, and prepare documentation for funding.

You will work under the branch operations team, ensuring accuracy of core system data, handling titles and UCC-1 filings, and communicating loan decisions to members while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency; Associate degree preferred.
• At least three years in banking with lending experience preferred.
• Excellent member service skills and professional demeanor.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to learn SCCU software.
• Knowledge of credit union laws and lending documentation desirable.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consumer loan interviews in person or by phone.
• Input applicant data into core system to create loan applications.
• Submit loan applications for decisioning to Loan Officer.
• Prepare loan documents for signatures and funding.
• Fund loans and disburse funds as appropriate.
• Perform quality control of funded loans and fix documents as needed.
• Image loan documents into the core system and ensure readability.
• Assist with vehicle titles and UCC-1 filings for collateral.
• Generate adverse action notices and welcome letters to members.
• Perform general clerical duties and complete annual training.
