Job summary

Rate, a leading retail mortgage lender founded in 2000 and based in Chicago, seeks a Mortgage Originator for the Consumer Direct department. Inside sales focus, base salary is provided and a comprehensive total rewards package is offered.

You will follow up with borrowers, maintain compliance, and strive to meet loan funding goals while advising clients through the home buying or refinance process. NMLS license and strong communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Follow up with borrowers who applied for a home loan on rate.com or partner sites.
• Maintain compliance with company, state, and federal standards.
• Aim to fund a minimum number of loans per month through proactive sales activity.
• Highlight advantages of Rate to clients and provide tailored loan solutions.
• Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and loan approval.
• Counsel clients on home buying or refinancing while delivering exceptional service.

Job Description:

Inside sales for the Consumer Direct department at Rate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide impeccable follow up with our borrowers that have applied for a home loan on www.rate.com or any one of our aggregate partners
• Maintain all company, state, and federal compliance standards
• Engage and excel in everyday sales activity that will contribute to a minimum standard of funded loans per month
• Promote the significant advantages of working with Rate
• Build rapport with clients to ensure we are identifying the best solution for the loan needs.
• Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and granting loans.
• Counsel on the home buying or refinance process, providing exceptional client service along the way.
• Reply to potential inquiries from company-generated prospects.
• Reach or exceed sales goals and objectives.
• Operate in compliance with laws and regulations

• Use state of the art technology to complete loan applications, run credit decisions, price loans in real-time, and continue to build and maintain client database
