Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of credit risk management experience.
• Strong understanding of consumer lending profit and loss and key drivers of credit card loss and profitability.
• Proven track record in product collaboration, risk analytics, and stakeholder management.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience engaging senior leaders and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience with audit processes and maintaining strong documentation and controls.

Responsibilities

• Set and evolve acquisition credit criteria across channels to align with growth, profitability, and risk appetite.
• Assess expected losses, profitability, and customer behavior to inform launch recommendations and sustainable scaling.
• Track approval rates, credit quality, delinquency, and losses; identify opportunities for criteria enhancements and risk mitigation.
• Brief general managers and senior leaders on performance drivers, approval trends, and strategic recommendations.
• Serve as a key partner to Product, Marketing, and Finance, sharing insights on application volume, credit trends, and upcoming model/criteria changes.
• Evaluate new products/channels and design risk guardrails that balance growth and sound risk management; leverage champion-challenger testing.
• Maintain robust documentation and controls; support internal/external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team; build leadership bench and drive a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
