Job summary

Ally Financial invites students to join a 11-week paid internship in Charlotte, NC, from May 21 to July 31, 2027. The role focuses on forecasting, data science analytics, and data-driven decision making within Consumer Banking.

It combines hands-on project work with mentoring and networking across diverse teams. You will query large datasets using SQL, develop dashboards in Power BI and Excel, and learn to leverage AI tools for automation and insight generation while exploring potential

Qualifications

Technical Skills - Snowflake, Excel, Power BI, Posit (Python and/or R).
Communication skills - strong written skills and verbal communication, ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
Problem solving - strategic, problem-solving, customer-focused proactive mindset.
Collaboration and adaptability - comfortable collaborating with partner analytics teams and product managers, positive attitude to learn.
Organizational skills - manage multiple tasks and deadlines, strong attention to detail.
Preferred degrees - Computer Science, Data Science

Responsibilities

Support Forecasting & Data Science analytics team with forecasting and data insights.
Query and transform large datasets into business insights using SQL and time series analysis.
Leverage AI tools for coding, automation, data analysis, and insight discovery.
Develop, automate, and publish reports (Power BI, Excel dashboards) and present findings to stakeholders.
