Job summary

First Financial Bank in Indianapolis is seeking a result-driven Personal Banker to open new accounts, maintain existing relationships, and drive sales within the branch. You will engage clients, answer questions, and guide them through banking products and digital services.

In this role you will work with limited supervision, collaborate with teammates and district specialists, and ensure compliance with all bank policies.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years client service experience in a retail environment.
• 3–4 years sales and service experience with a proven record of meeting sales and service goals.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Potential to obtain notary authorization.
• Strong bank product knowledge and solid sales skills.
• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience in sales.
• Ability to serve a wide variety of client needs according to bank policy and procedures.
• Capability to lead teams as needed.
• Works with limited supervision, follows established guidelines, and applies them with proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary functions to open accounts and conduct maintenance.
• Run a Teller drawer as deemed necessary by management.
• Support client engagement through active calling, client conversations, and follow‑up.
• Daily activities align with the First Financial Bank Experience (FFB Experience), including but not limited to:
  • Partner with internal constituencies to bring expertise to the client.
  • Ensure client follow‑up calls are conducted in a timely manner.
• Maintain all operational and risk management standards.
• Assist clients in transacting business within the branch, drive‑thru, by phone and email.
• Model the First Financials Mission and Values for peers and coworkers.
• Adhere to all compliance and regulatory procedures.
• Partner with District Specialists to execute retail strategies and objectives for client attraction, retention and growth.
• Serve as a client’s personal trusted advisor by adding value and building deep relationships using the First Client Conversation Model.
• Lead and participate in the First Financial Bank Experience through site‑center huddles and meetings to support sales and service activities.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales, service, and referral goals as set by management.
• Provide digital assistance and service for clients using the bank’s online offerings.
• Stay informed and up to date on all bank products, processes and procedures, especially those that are most complex.
