ArborMetrics (AMS) seeks a Consulting Utility Forester to join our vegetation management team in the field. You will perform patrols, assess tree risk, and engage with landowners to implement safe, value-driven vegetation strategies.

Role requires working outdoors, using GIS tools, and coordinating with clients. We value independent work, strong communication, and commitment to safety in utility corridors.

Qualificações

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience in forestry/arboriculture preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification.
• Proficiency with GIS and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new programs.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management or crew leadership is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare records, maps and paperwork for patrol circuits and maintain documentation.
• Review sites for endangered species and habitats; assess vegetation for pruning/removal.
• Safely patrol energy corridors; identify vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection.
• Classify prescribed work; assess tree risk and growth; may use herbicide.
• Mark vegetation and prescribe clearance actions per ISA pruning techniques and ANSI standards.
• Identify landowner rights using maps; communicate work plans to owners and agencies.
• Obtain permissions for vegetation work from landowners/agencies; provide professional customer service.
• Audit contractor work for compliance; investigate tree-related outages and document findings.
• Coordinate non-routine work with stakeholders; report safety concerns and follow AMS protocols.
• Participate in storm and emergency response; perform other duties as assigned.
