Job summary

SOL Mental Health in the DMV market is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide medical direction and supervision for Medicare patients. This hybrid role supports primary clinicians with structured care reviews (SCR), treatment plan oversight, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

Candidates must hold an MD with an active license in DC/MD/VA, an active DEA registration, and board certification in General Psychiatry; geriatric or liaison psychiatry

Qualifications

• MD with active, unrestricted medical license in DC/MD/VA.
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain.
• Board certified/eligible in General Psychiatry; geriatric or consult/liaison preferred.
• IMLC participation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide SCR to primary treating clinicians with case review and treatment plan oversight.
• Recommend treatment adjustments and orders in collaboration with providers.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to adults, young adults, and children.
• Support patients in crisis with appropriate interventions and timely documentation.

• $220,000 - $270,000 + inclusive of a guarantee plus clinical hour-based incentives

What You Bring

• MD with an active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure) in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
• Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain without restriction).
• 3+ years of experience providing medical direction and supervision, particularly with Medicare patients.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry.
• Board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Psychiatry or Consult/Liaison Psychiatry is preferred.
• Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) participation is preferred, but not required.

What You’ll Do

• Provide Structured Care Review (SCR) to primary treating clinician through systematic case review and treatment plan oversight (average of 32 review hours per week and 6 to 10 patient reviews per hour). Focus on Medicare patients in market .
• Recommend any treatment adjustments, including specific medication and lab/imaging/study order recommendations, treatment plan adjustments, or advised clinical protocols directly with the primary care provider
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care
• Work with adults, young adults, and/or children
• Support patients in crisis withappropriate interventions
• Completetimely,accuratedocumentation
