Job summary

SOL Mental Health is seeking a psychiatrist to join a clinician-centered, collaborative team in a hybrid role within the DMV market.

The compensation package ranges from $220,000 to $270,000 plus incentives, with comprehensive benefits and a strong support structure including admin, billing, and marketing assistance.

Qualifications

• MD with an active unrestricted medical license in DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain without restriction.
• 3+ years of experience providing medical direction and supervision, especially with Medicare patients.
• Board certification or board eligibility in General Psychiatry; geriatric or consult/liaison preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Structured Care Review (SCR) to primary treating clinician with case review and treatment plan oversight.
• Recommend treatment adjustments, including medications and lab/imaging orders, and care protocols.
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to adults, young adults, and/or children.
• Support patients in crisis with appropriate interventions and timely documentation.

What You Bring

• MD with an active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure) in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
• Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain without restriction).
• 3+ years of experience providing medical direction and supervision, particularly with Medicare patients.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry.
• Board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Psychiatry or Consult/Liaison Psychiatry is preferred.
• Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) participation is preferred, but not required.

What You’ll Do

• Provide Structured Care Review (SCR) to primary treating clinician through systematic case review and treatment plan oversight (average of 32 review hours per week and 6 to 10 patient reviews per hour). Focus on Medicare patients in market .
• Recommend any treatment adjustments, including specific medication and lab/imaging/study order recommendations, treatment plan adjustments, or advised clinical protocols directly with the primary care provider
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care
• Work with adults, young adults, and/or children
• Support patients in crisis withappropriate interventions
• Completetimely,accuratedocumentation
