Job summary

SOL Mental Health is hiring a board-certified psychiatrist to provide structured care reviews and clinical oversight for Medicare patients in our DMV market. This hybrid role requires an active medical license in DC/MD/VA, plus DEA registration and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• MD with an active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain) in DC, MD, and VA.
• Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain without restriction).
• 3+ years of experience providing medical direction and supervision, particularly with Medicare patients.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry.
• Board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Psychiatry or Consult/Liaison Psychiatry preferred.
• IMLC participation preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Structured Care Review (SCR) to primary treating clinician with treatment plan oversight.
• Recommend treatment adjustments, including medications and lab/imaging orders.
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Work with adults, young adults, and/or children.
• Support patients in crisis with appropriate interventions.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation.

What You Bring

• MD with an active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure) in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
• Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain without restriction).
• 3+ years of experience providing medical direction and supervision, particularly with Medicare patients.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry.
• Board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Psychiatry or Consult/Liaison Psychiatry is preferred.
• Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) participation is preferred, but not required.

What You’ll Do

• Provide Structured Care Review (SCR) to primary treating clinician through systematic case review and treatment plan oversight (average of 32 review hours per week and 6 to 10 patient reviews per hour). Focus on Medicare patients in market .
• Recommend any treatment adjustments, including specific medication and lab/imaging/study order recommendations, treatment plan adjustments, or advised clinical protocols directly with the primary care provider
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care
• Work with adults, young adults, and/or children
• Support patients in crisis withappropriate interventions
• Completetimely,accuratedocumentation
