Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Consulting Actuary - ACA Risk Adjustment to lead pricing strategies and actuarial initiatives for diverse business segments. The role focuses on evaluating complex care management models, benchmarking, and pricing sophisticated insurance products.

You will provide reliable actuarial insights to address risks and opportunities, and engage with leadership to drive profitable growth and improved value for Blue Cross NC customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
• Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
• 7 years of relevant actuarial experience; ASA with 9+ years acceptable in lieu of FSA.
• Deep ACA Risk Adjustment experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing strategies and actuarial initiatives for business segments.
• Evaluate advanced care management models and benchmarks.
• Design and price sophisticated insurance products.
• Provide actuarial insights and identify risks and opportunities.
• Communicate results to leadership and internal partners.
• Manage external partnerships and negotiate contracts and rates.
