Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Consulting Actuary - ACA Risk Adjustment to lead pricing strategies and actuarial initiatives for various business segments. You will evaluate advanced care management models, perform competitive benchmarking analyses, and design/pricing sophisticated insurance products.

You will deliver reliable actuarial insights, proactively identifying complex risks and opportunities, and address them with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree is required.
• Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
• 7 years of relevant actuarial experience; in lieu of FSA, ASA with 9 years may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead actuarial projects and ensure timeliness, compliance, and quality of work.
• Provide strategic leadership to improve processes, reduce risks, and drive profitable growth.
• Explain segment results and variances to leadership; act as financial steward for the company.
• Communicate effectively with all levels within the organization, including Divisional Leadership.
• Manage external partnerships with vendors, auditors, regulators, and health care providers.
