Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Consulting Actuary - ACA Risk Adjustment to lead pricing strategies, evaluate advanced care management models, and design complex insurance products. You will translate analytics into actionable insights that support profitable growth and enterprise objectives.

The role requires deep ACA Risk Adjustment expertise, SOA credentials, and the ability to influence senior leadership while coordinating with vendors, regulators, and internal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• Members of the American Academy of Actuaries; Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
• 7+ years of relevant actuarial experience (or ASA with 9+ years).

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing strategies and actuarial initiatives for business segments.
• Evaluate advanced care management models and conduct competitive benchmarking.
• Design and price sophisticated insurance products and provide actuarial insights.
• Communicate results and recommendations to leadership; act as a strategic advisor.
• Manage external partnerships with vendors, regulators, and health care providers; negotiate contracts/rates.
• Maintain ongoing professional education to meet credentials and standards.
