CCS Systems is a fast-growing practice area within the firm, focused on fundraising operations, information, and change management reporting to the Executive Vice President of Data & Strategy. We partner with large, complex clients to help them measure and elevate impact, optimize key development processes, and make data-informed decisions to forge, grow, and enhance prospect relationships.

Job Description

CCS Systems & Change Management focuses and advises on ‘data in practice’ – how information is gathered, entered, and used - to help our clients ask the right questions of their data and glean trusted insights in support of best-in-class fundraising performance. As we continue to grow our presence in this area, CCS is seeking directors with subject matter expertise to successfully oversee and execute projects rooted in data challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a strong awareness of and experience with fundraising operations best practices, including direct experience with Salesforce and integrations used by clients in the sector, challenges clients face with their data, and solutions to address these pain points. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and the proficiency to identify gaps between client information infrastructure and best-practice functionality, asking thoughtful questions during discussions with stakeholders.

This role involves managing projects requiring advanced technical proficiency (Systems Assessments) and supporting colleagues as a subject matter expert on engagements involving systems/analytics.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who can:

  • Successfully lead and manage projects from start to finish
  • Apply critical and strategic thinking to identify core issues
  • Communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; ability to convey information visually is a plus
  • Thrive in a startup environment, working independently and helping to shape the growth of this practice within the firm. This is a high-visibility role with the potential to impact the nonprofit sector significantly.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience with Salesforce as an administrator and/or developer
  • Technical proficiency to recognize, scope, and design data management and analysis methods
  • Understanding of systems architecture and data governance protocols
  • Familiarity with data analysis and working with large data sets
  • Knowledge of the data lifecycle from entry to insight
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders across various levels and departments
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Continuous learning mindset
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with relational databases, CRM, and ERP systems in a nonprofit setting
  • Experience in healthcare, higher education, or federated nonprofits is a plus
  • Strong storytelling and public speaking skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), workflow modeling, relational database management, and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python)
Projects May Include
  • Assessing client systems and processes for fundraising effectiveness
  • Developing business processes and SOPs
  • Data cleanup and ongoing oversight planning
  • Evaluating data integrity in complex organizations
  • Working with leadership to set KPIs and goals
  • Creating reports and dashboards
  • Supporting systems conversions from requirements to go-live
