Summary/Objective

  • Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding and following with consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs.
  • Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Generate leads and build relationships, planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
  • Develop and implement territory action plans through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field.

Daily, Weekly And Monthly Responsibilities

  • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.
  • Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered.
  • Maintain weekly New Business Development Prospect Activity log on Teams.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling.
  • Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product demos and presentations.
  • Drive personal motor vehicle to existing customers, and prospects, to ensure product delivery, which may include lifting/carrying up to 25lbs. Mileage reimbursement available through Paycom mileage tracker submission ($100/wk). Reimbursed bi-weekly, non-taxed.
  • Expectations –
    • Visit no less than 35 customers per week (sum of prospective and existing customer face-to-face visits)
    • Close 1 NEW customer minimum/month = 3 NEW customers minimum total by day 90
    • Each NEW customer must spend $5,000.00/month
  • Quotes – 20 quotes/week with 12 lines per Quote = 240 Quote lines per week
  • Cumulative New Sales Targets:
    • 30 days $2,000.00
    • 60 days $12,000.00
    • 90 days $42,000.00

Position Requirements

  • 5 years’ wholesale foodservice distributor sales experience a must.
  • Must have particular interest in hunting for new business and cultivating existing business to continue growth in sales.
  • Must have hands-on experience with customer web-based order entry tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask with strict attention to detail.
  • Personal integrity
  • Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
  • High School or equivalent
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the Standard English language.

Typical Work Environment Requirements

  • Work in various temperatures.
  • Standing, walking, sitting for up to 10-12 hours a day
  • Lifting and moving material up to 100 pounds each on occasion
  • Additionally, you may be required to lift, sit, stand, walk, twist, turn, stretch, push, pull, bend, or reach, both below waist and above the head, at any time to fulfill your job description.
