Product Architect

Product Architect needed to design scalable, secure, and high‑performing solutions across mainframe, web services, and cloud environments. Lead end‑to‑end architecture for mission‑critical applications, including target‑state design, roadmaps, governance, and alignment with enterprise standards, security, regulatory, and data requirements. Design cloud and integration architectures using AWS, APIGEE, APIs, Kafka, JSON, and SOAP/REST services to enable secure and reliable data exchange across distributed systems. Define and implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms, and fine‑grained/role‑based access control models to ensure secure access to applications and APIs. Provide architectural leadership for mainframe and legacy modernization initiatives involving CICS, COBOL, DB2, IMS, Java/J2EE, and JavaScript applications. Guide development teams in implementing proposed design solutions and ensure they meet required architectural, security, quality, and enterprise standards. Define reference architectures, integration patterns, and reusable platforms to improve interoperability, strengthen data flows, and support resilient business operations. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and 5 years of experience performing the duties listed above.

Nationwide pays on a geographic‑specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. If a Sales job, Sales Incentives, based on performance goals are possible in addition to this range. Note on Compensation for Part-Time Roles: Please be aware that the salary ranges listed below reflect full‑time compensation. Actual compensation may be prorated based on the number of hours worked relative to a full‑time schedule. The national salary range for Consultant, Product Architect : $118,000.00-$222,000.00 The expected starting salary range for Consultant, Product Architect : $118,000.00 - $178,000.00
