Job summary

INVENSITY Group is seeking a seasoned due diligence professional to drive Commercial and Technical due diligence engagements for technology investments. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, assess markets, products, and IT architectures, and deliver data-driven recommendations to investors and management.

We value strong communication, client-facing presence, and a hands-on mindset, with German and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related STEM field.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, incl. at least 2 years in Commercial Due Diligence.
• Strong understanding of software, IT, medical technology, or electronics, with due diligence experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, client-facing mindset.
• Willingness to travel as project demands.
• Business-fluent German and professional English.

Responsibilities

• Shape technology investments with strategic impact; lead Commercial Due Diligence projects and guide clients through the transaction process.
• Lead and execute Commercial & Technical Due Diligence engagements, including market, competitive, and business model assessments.
• Analyze data rooms, identify trends, assess landscapes, and translate insights into recommendations for investors and management.
• Develop data-driven value creation strategies to increase enterprise value across growth and go-to-market opportunities.
• Manage due diligence projects independently, collaborating with investors, leadership, and experts on diverse tech sectors.
• Lead project teams and share expertise through workshops and coaching for colleagues.

• Shape technology investments with strategic impact: Take ownership of Commercial Due Diligence projects and guide clients through the entire transaction process of modern technology companies alongside interdisciplinary teams – from the initial company assessment to well-founded investment recommendations.
• Commercial & Technical Due Diligence: Lead and execute commercial and technical due diligence engagements, covering market, competitive, and business model assessments as well as the evaluation of products, technologies, software solutions, and IT architectures.
• Market & Technology Research: Analyze data rooms, identify market and technology trends, assess competitive landscapes, and translate complex technical and commercial insights into clear recommendations for investors and management teams.
• Value Creation Services: Develop data-driven strategies to sustainably increase enterprise value – from growth strategies and go-to-market optimization to identifying operational and strategic value creation opportunities.
• Deal-driven & accountable: Manage due diligence projects independently, collaborate closely with investors, executive leadership, and subject matter experts, and contribute your expertise to complex transactions across a wide range of technology sectors.
• Project leadership & knowledge sharing: Take responsibility for project teams, share your expertise through workshops, coaching, and project work, and actively support the professional development of your colleagues.

Your profile

• Successfully completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable STEM discipline
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2 years in Commercial Due Diligence, ideally within a Private Equity, M&A, strategy consulting, or transaction advisory environment
• Strong understanding of technical concepts, particularly in areas such as software & IT, medical technology, or electronics, with experience assessing technology-driven business models as part of due diligence engagements or transactions
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, confident client-facing presence, and a hands-on mindset
• Willingness to travel depending on project requirements
• Business-fluent German and professional fluency in English
