Northern Trust is seeking a Consultant for Asset Management Portfolio Accounting in Chicago. You will work with global partners to deliver a robust operating model, lead automation initiatives, and support institutional client accounting across asset classes.

The role requires a strong foundation in investment accounting, GAAP, data analysis, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders. A collaborative, detail-oriented mindset is essential for success.

Qualificações

• Bachelor degree; MBA is a plus.
• 4+ years in the investment management accounting field.
• Proficiency with investment accounting for Equity and Fixed Income assets.
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate with global teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead accounting-related internal and external initiatives to drive automation and economies of scale.
• Govern daily reconciliation for global institutional entities and maintain the reconciliation model.
• Collaborate with Technology to develop scalable reporting (e.g., Sustainable Investing) for funds and separate accounts.
• Partner with Business Unit Manager to implement long-term strategic initiatives for team growth.
• Provide guidance to onshore and offshore resources to resolve complex accounting problems.
