Job description

Morton Buildings is looking to expand our construction crews and employee owners!

Morton Buildings, Inc. is the industry leader in post-frame construction. We have been in business for 120 years and have more than 10 manufacturing, fabrication, and shipping plants servicing over 100 construction centers nationwide. Thousands of new buildings across America feature the familiar Morton M annually.

Salary is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience.

Bonus! Earn an additional $2000 your first year. New crew members receive a $500 bonus every quarter during their first year. These bonuses are subject to all applicable taxes.

Under the guidance of your crew foreman, you will:

• Learn, stay current with, and apply Morton Buildings' safety and construction procedures, methods, and standards
• Read, understand, and build according to construction plans
• Utilize tools and equipment safely and efficiently to construct buildings
• Execute tasks such as digging, installing footings, framing walls and roofs, installing windows and doors, applying siding and roofing materials, and finishing with trims
• Work with other crew members in a safe, organized, and respectful environment

Qualifications

• Experience in building construction, carpentry, or framing preferred
• Willingness to participate in training programs
• A valid driver’s license is preferred
• Availability to work 9-10 hours during peak season
• Ability to follow directions and produce quality work efficiently
• Compliance with safety procedures
• Ability to operate construction tools and safety equipment properly
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Comfort working in physically demanding environments and at heights up to 40 feet
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including overnight trips of up to two weeks
