Construction Worker - Carpenter at Morton Buildings, Inc.

Join our team as a Construction Worker - Carpenter at Morton Buildings, Inc.

Note: This position is entry-level, full-time, and involves working in construction and manufacturing industries.

Morton Buildings, Inc. is the industry leader in post-frame construction, with over 120 years of experience and more than 10 manufacturing, fabrication, and shipping plants across the country. Our buildings are recognizable nationwide, and we are expanding our construction crews and employee ownership!

Benefits and Compensation:

• Salary: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience, paid weekly
• Additional bonuses: $500 quarterly retention bonus in the first year, plus a $2000 bonus in the first year

Job Responsibilities:

• Follow safety protocols and construction standards
• Read and interpret construction plans
• Use tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform tasks such as digging, framing, installing doors/windows, siding, roofing, and finishing
• Work collaboratively in a safe and respectful environment

Qualifications:

• Experience in construction, carpentry, or framing preferred
• Willingness to participate in training
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Availability to work 9-10 hours during peak season
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Physical ability to work at heights (up to 40 feet) and in demanding environments
• Willingness to travel up to 20%, including overnight stays
