You will operate hand tools and assist equipment operators, dig trenches, set up traffic controls, and help keep projects on schedule while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to learn operating hand tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with safety as a top priority.
• Ability to follow construction plans, read basic diagrams, and work independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist equipment operators with loading, unloading, and distributing construction materials.
• Install and maintain underground and aerial telecommunications cable and fiber infrastructure.
• Dig trenches, expose utilities, and operate hand tools and assigned equipment.
• Assist with backfilling, roadway patching, and construction site cleanup.
• Set up traffic control devices and maintain safe work zones.
• Assist with equipment cleaning, fueling, greasing, and minor repairs.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Crew Lead or Supervisor.

STRATA Networks is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Construction Worker to help build and maintain the telecommunications infrastructure connecting our communities. This hands-on role supports underground and aerial cable installation, fiber-optic construction, and site maintenance. Key Responsibilities

• Assist equipment operators with loading, unloading, and distributing construction materials.
• Install and maintain underground and aerial telecommunications cable and fiber infrastructure.
• Dig trenches, expose existing utilities, and operate hand tools and assigned equipment.
• Assist with backfilling, roadway patching, and construction site cleanup.
• Set up traffic control devices and maintain safe work zones.
• Assist with equipment cleaning, fueling, greasing, and minor repairs.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Crew Lead or Supervisor.

Work Environment and Conditions

Irregular hours, with shifts potentially reaching 10-15 hours during peak construction season.

Physical Demands

Perform strenuous physical work, including lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 100 pounds.

Operate hand tools and power equipment.

Bend, kneel, walk on uneven terrain, and enter or exit trenches, manholes, and vaults.
