Job summary

POLK MECHANICAL COMPANY LLC is seeking a Warehouse Clerk to support construction projects by efficiently handling materials, tools, and supplies on-site in Grand Prairie, TX. You will record deliveries, organize inventory, and ensure secure storage to minimize losses while supporting site teams.

The role requires forklift experience and certification, strong computer skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a warehouse environment with PPE usage.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous warehouse or construction materials handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred (3 years).
• Forklift certification required.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and inventory systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage materials and inventory efficiently.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• Warehouse environment with some outdoor exposure and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming deliveries of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory per safety and efficiency standards.
• Store materials, tools, and equipment securely to prevent damage and loss.
• Manage issuance and return of tools and materials to site personnel and teams.
• Perform regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
• Prepare materials for outbound deliveries and coordinate logistics with site teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and operate forklifts as needed.
• Provide basic administrative support as required.
