Job summary

APAC-Kansas, Inc., Shears Construction, a CRH Company, is hiring a Construction Laborer - General / Utility to support heavy highway projects in Kansas. You will perform general labor, assist with excavation and utility work, and help with traffic control and equipment operation while maintaining strict safety standards.

The role requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather, pass drug and background checks, and have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous excavation equipment experience is an asset.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a collaborative team to meet project goals.
• Maintain safety by following OSHA/MSHA standards and using PPE.
• Assist with excavation, utility, and drainage activities.
• Operate small power tools and assist with heavy equipment when needed.
• Signal equipment operators and coordinate material movement safely.
