Job summary

CRH is seeking a construction laborer for APAC-Kansas, Inc., Shears Construction, a CRH Company, to support diverse projects across water, sewer, and storm drain systems. You will perform digging, material handling, and assist with traffic control while adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and may have prior excavation equipment experience. Willingness to travel and work outside in varying conditions is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with excavation equipment or construction roles is an asset.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Support project goals as part of a collaborative team.
• Follow safety policies and use PPE.
• Report unsafe conditions or incidents to management.
• Assist with construction and excavation across projects (treatment plants, water, sewer, and storm drain).
• Perform general labor duties (digging, spreading, leveling materials).
• Signal equipment operators for safe movement of materials.
• Maintain equipment with basic servicing and inspections.
