Job summary

JE Shurden Construction LLC is seeking a hardworking Laborer to join our field crews in outdoor civil construction tasks such as digging, grading, and site cleanup. You will assist with utilities installation and support equipment operators while following supervisor directions.

We value a safety-minded, reliable team player who is willing to learn and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Previous construction experience preferred but not required
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, walking on uneven terrain)
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must pass any required pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks on construction sites, including digging, grading, and site cleanup
• Assist with installation of utilities (water, sewer, storm drainage, etc.)
• Support equipment operators and follow directions from supervisors
• Safely use hand tools and small equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and comply with OSHA guidelines
• Load and unload materials as required
• Other duties as assigned to support project needs
