Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials is looking for a Utility Laborer at our Big Spring, TX location. You will perform varied labor tasks as part of a crew to help ensure safe and efficient jobsite performance.

Responsibilities include shoveling, signaling equipment operators, erecting sign packages, managing traffic control devices, and lifting up to heavy loads. Must wear PPE and be prepared for outdoors, nights, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Must be willing to work outside in the elements.
• Wear proper PPE when required.

Responsabilités

• Occasionally performs general laboring duties, such as shoveling and raking stone, gravel, earth, and topsoil material.
• Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery.
• Regularly erects, positions, and moves sign packages in a safe, accurate manner, adhering to state specifications.
• Move traffic control devices regularly lifting 30 lbs and occasionally 100 lbs.
• Occasionally direct traffic through construction sites using proper equipment and procedures.
• Occasionally lift heavy objects.
