Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Midlothian, TX is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator Utility to operate, lubricate, and help maintain heavy equipment.

The role requires reading/writing English, ability to work with minimal supervision, climb stairs, lift 40-100 lbs, and perform pre-shift inspections, reporting repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English.
• Must read and write to complete daily reports.
• Good communication skills one on one.
• Good communication using a two-way radio.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Must remain seated in equipment up to 12 hrs/day.
• Must lift 40–100 lbs.
• Good hand/eye coordination and vision.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Safety above all else.

Responsibilities

• Operates and lubricates heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Helps maintain heavy equipment.
• Housekeeping in work areas.
• Spotting and unloading railcars.
• Inspects belts and feeders.
• Cleans spills using jackhammer, shovel, and broom.
• Pre-shift inspections on the equipment.
• Report needed repairs to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Assist in plant clean-up.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
