Job summary

Quikrete Holdings Inc. is seeking a Utility Laborer at our Big Spring, TX location to support a construction crew with general labor tasks and site safety.

You will shovel, rake stone and earth, signal equipment operators, and help move traffic control devices while staying vigilant about PPE and outdoor conditions.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in industrial settings, and willingness to travel, nights, weekends, and to work outside.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing experience.
• Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Must be willing to work outside in the elements.
• Wear proper PPE when required.

Responsibilities

• Occasionally performs general laboring duties, such as shoveling and raking stone, gravel, earth, and topsoil material.
• Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery.
• Regularly erects, positions, and moves sign packages in a safe, accurate manner, adhering to state specifications.
• Move traffic control devices regularly lifting 30 lbs and occasionally 100 lbs.
• Occasionally direct traffic through construction sites using proper equipment and procedures.
• Occasionally lift heavy objects.
