Multiple Location(s):

• Midwest/Western US - Preferred locations Scottsdale, AZ or Chicago, IL (Hybrid); Remote (OR, WA, TX)
• Eastern US - Preferred locations Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) or East Coast states

As a key player on the underwriting team, you will focus on middle-market construction accounts, underwriting complex General Liability risks on a non-admitted basis. You’ll work closely with wholesale brokers, maintain strong relationships, and ensure your book of business meets profitability and service goals. This is a highly collaborative, results-focused role with significant opportunity to grow and make an impact.

Your Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and underwrite non-admitted General Liability risks in the construction space
• Drive new business through broker relationships and targeted outreach
• Review risk exposures, pricing, and claims history to formulate sound underwriting strategies
• Ensure compliance with guidelines and maintain a profitable portfolio
• Monitor and meet production, profitability, and service metrics

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent underwriting experience
• 5–10 years of commercial underwriting, with a strong focus on General Liability and Construction
• Solid broker and contractor relationships
• Familiarity with E&S Lines and wholesale distribution models
• Insurance certifications (CPCU, ASLI, ARM, CRIS) highly desirable
• Deep understanding of construction sector risk dynamics
