Job summary

AbbVie in Lake County, Illinois seeks a Project Truck Driver to safely handle pickups and deliveries of tools, materials, and equipment to job sites. You will work under the Group Leader, coordinating daily loads from multiple supervisors.

The role requires driving 27’ box trucks, loading/unloading, and ensuring safety and compliance with licenses and company policies. Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain Forklift License is required.
• Requires excellent driving skills and outstanding customer skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for vehicles up to 26,000 lbs with air brakes.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries to AbbVie and vendor locations within Lake County.
• Load and unload materials, pallets, drums, and equipment.
• Occasional fire watch for hot work and site organization.
• Operate vehicles safely and comply with state license requirements.
• Maintain positive customer relationships and resolve delivery issues.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with group leaders and estimators.
