Job description

Entry Level Position with Training Provided

This role involves all aspects of Network Construction, including Aerial, Underground, and MDU. The employee will assist and support the Construction team in daily procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support efforts to enhance the customer experience.
2. Move, secure, load/unload cable equipment, tools, or materials as directed.
3. Excavate holes and trenches, perform restoration, and bury conduit and cables.
4. Pull lasher, strand, and cable between poles.
5. Perform traffic control and flagging as needed.
6. Comply with industry-specific regulations and standards.
7. Follow procedures and specifications for Aerial, Underground, MDU, and B/A construction.
8. Adhere to all safety requirements and standards.
9. Operate and maintain crew vehicles.
10. Follow company policies and procedures.
11. Understand and support Charter's strand routing, design maps, and construction materials.
12. Maintain cleanliness of the worksite.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

• Good vision, including peripheral and color differentiation.
• Ability to operate equipment safely.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and climb poles using appropriate gear.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and documentation accuracy.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; training provided for entry level.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory record.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to obtain necessary licenses, such as CDL.
• Basic math and electronic testing knowledge.
• Effective organization and prioritization skills.
