Job summary

PELLA CORPORATION is seeking a Construction Technician-3 to install, move and remove machinery, dust collection, and utility systems, while ensuring safety and quality. The role involves working with potentially hazardous environments and requires a high school diploma and ability to pass pre-work screens.

Responsibilities include following procedures, rotating to other positions, and supporting Continuous Improvement teams.

Job description

The Construction Technician-3 team member will perform the installation, moving and removing of machinery, dust collection, electrical, air, water and sewer services as well as the repair and minor modifications of building and plant property.

PELLA CORPORATION REQUIREMENTS:

PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS:

All base level requirements must be met within two years upon position acceptance.

To reach a progression level you must demonstrate technical skills, leadership skills, and pass classes / certifications as identified by the progression review committee.

ENVIRONMENT:

Noise level requires hearing protection in designated areas

Season high/low temperatures and humidity

Confined Space

Hazardous material handling

Majority of work done in potentially hazardous environments – extreme caution required

Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner

Generate up to 15 lbs. of pinch strength up to an occasional basis with each hand while handling products
