Job summary

Pella Corporation is seeking a Construction Technician-3 to install, move, and remove machinery and related systems, perform minor repairs on plant buildings, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires adaptability to hazardous environments and teamwork in a dynamic plant setting.

Ideal candidates will have manufacturing or construction experience, strong mechanical and math aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints.

Job description

The Construction Technician-3 team member will perform the installation, moving and removing of machinery, dust collection, electrical, air, water and sewer services as well as the repair and minor modifications of building and plant property.

PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS:

All base level requirements must be met within two years upon position acceptance.

To reach a progression level you must demonstrate technical skills, leadership skills, and pass classes / certifications as identified by the progression review committee.

ENVIRONMENT:

Noise level requires hearing protection in designated areas

Season high/low temperatures and humidity

Confined Space

Hazardous material handling

Majority of work done in potentially hazardous environments – extreme caution required

Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner
