Job summary

PELLA CORPORATION is seeking a General Assembly Operator to join our window assembly team. The role supports construction of windows with flexibility to move across lines and duties to meet business needs. Shift is 3rd shift, Monday–Thursday 8:30 pm–7:00 am, with overtime on Fridays when required.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The General assembly operator works as a part of an assembly team, performing multiple assembly duties for the construction of windows. The operator’s assigned team and tasks will vary based on business necessity.

  • Monday-Thursday 8:30 pm – 7:00 am (3rd shift), If OT is needed, it's on Friday.
  • $24.00/hour plus $2 shift diff.
  • Weekly Pay.

PELLA CORPORATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Pass drug screen.
  • Pass pre-employment tests.
  • Pass pre-work ability screen.

  • Must perform Total Productive Maintenance duties.
  • Must maintain good housekeeping.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Manufacturing-related experience is preferred.

SKILLS & TALENT
  • Decision making/problem solving in a manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.
  • Use of hand tools and machinery is required.
  • Requires communication skills and the cognitive ability to learn the safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Learn, comprehend, and implement Lock Out/Tag Out and safety and quality procedures to assure the safe and proper operation of the equipment.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s using units of American money.
  • Familiarity with American units of measure for weight, time, and distance.
